FAQ

Quick answers

Does membership really cost nothing?
Yes — membership is completely free, with no hidden fees and no commitment. We're funded through partnerships, not member dues.
Do I need trading or finance experience?
No. Our members range from first-year students discovering commodities to MBA candidates with trading internships. Curiosity is the only requirement.
I'm not studying finance — can I still join?
Absolutely. Commodity markets need economists, political scientists, engineers, data analysts and lawyers. Some of our most active members study international relations.
Where do my application emails go?
Straight to the club inbox at iecommodity.club@ie.edu — a real person reads every application, usually within a few days.
How much time does being an ambassador take?
Around 3–5 hours per week, flexible around your studies. You choose the initiatives you want to lead.
